Well, I have reactivated this site again incase an IP change might happen.
It has been over 4 months since a new account has been made and I'm still not really looking for any new users. Unless ofcourse, you have a good reason to get acces like a huge albumlist (of stuff I want... not the entire repetoire of the Kelly Family etc!)...
There are only about 35 accounts left of people who regulary use the site so bandwith or "too many users" is a thing of the past. The increased bandwith overhere has helped too as you probably noticed.
The Albumlist:
Well, as always for over a year or so, I
cannot keep up with all uploads every week anymore. I'm updating it fully about
once every 6 weeks.
Sorting out the new stuff is als a "bit" behind schedule... Instead of
3 weeks it's now about 3 months... I try to process about 5 albums a day
inbetween work and that's about the same as the ammount of uploads so I'm not
catching up. This gives you more time to see all the recent stuff together in
one directory...
At this point I've got about 6500 full cd's
and some 1800 singles and mcd's
Of this some 4200 are online availble (some 300 GB)
Music videoclips:
Since a few months there is also a videoclip dir and video upload dir. If you want to upload some: only videoclips without TV logo's etc. wanted of good video and sound quality. No live preformances are wanted !!
Manga video's
Another thing I've started to collect are Manga video's. Of these I want the science fiction kinda stuff in good quality. Before uploading please mail me.

How to get an account:
Send a list of 10 full albums you plan to upload. Make sure I don't have them
already and the band is ok with the rules stated here (go to FAQ's for more
info).

Not wanted (anymore): Darkwave, (Gothic-) rock and / or Metal,
Punk, Hiphop,
grunge, folk, Samplers, top 40 and all other bullshit!!!
If you don't know what I mean, I guess you've taken a wrong turn here.....
FAQ's, Rulez & extra Info about this site:
What CD's are available online and what do I already
have or not?:
Go to the FTP site, login as mp3/mp3 and download "albumlist Castle of
Aaarggh". It's free (Excel sheet or .doc file) to download and it gives a list of all albums I have.
If you can, use the albumlist in Excel 2000 format.
This file has all recent info on styles, available online, missing
tracks etc.... and is updated about weekly.
All other filetypes are only updated monthly! (ehhr.. make that once
every three months lately...)
Is (leech) server trade possible?
Yes it is, but only when you have a good and large site that is online
24/7 too and actually has stuff I don't have yet! For that send me your IP and a user/pass for view when you mail me.
Speed limitation of this site (important!)
Due to a limit in bandwith (damn provider!!) I currently have the following site settings:
- Max. users 9, (mp3/mp3 always has access but for viewing only)
- Average download speed is somewhere between 2.5kb/s and 7kb/s, I can't change this. Too slow for
you? Please don't mail me....
What bitrate is needed for uploads:
Minimum is 128kbs, preferred is 160/192kbs. Maximum is 256kbs!
What my ICQ address is:
None... Don't use it anymore, just mail me....
Limits to your account:
- If it stays inactive more than 5 months, it gets blocked (not
deleted!) so you need to contact
me again to re-activate it. If I don't get any reply to this in 3 months, it
will be deleted. Should be safe enough for you...
- I will block ANYONE who uploads stuff I already have or doesn't
"fit" the site... You are
responsible for checking if anything from your upload list isn't already
uploaded by the time you are upping it! For this also check the "new
albums" directory.
If you do get blocked: Contact me again by mail!
Uploading of other stuff than MP3z:
I do not want anything else than MP3z. Only
covers, info files etc. that are related to your uploads are ok.
If you don't get a reply to your mail:
You probably asked me a stupid question like leech access or didn't
do one of the above things. I won't answer that sort of mail anymore: learn
to read first!! ;-)
